Great-Grandma Ruth and the Treasure of Adventure Island
That's right! Great-Grandma Ruth has had a colorful past - that is...a past that she's never spoken about - at least in conversation. But she's told little Mariana so many fantastic bedtime stories, that Mariana has always wondered if they were really true. One day, a mysterious old book arrives in the mail, sent by a long lost friend - a book accompanied by a letter summoning Great-Grandma to a place far away.
Now, there are all kinds of pirates - some good and some bad. And as wily as Great-Grandma Ruth appears to have been, let's just say, she is definitely the kindly sort. And the book? Mariana will find out where it came from, and that it is one of many. She will find out because Great-Grandma Ruth will need her help. So, off they will sail to "Adventure Island," aptly named for what it will hold.
